Sanur beach is located at about 6 km from Denpasar City. The beach has white sand make it very attractive to visit. Many visitors come to Sanur beach from all over the world everyday. If you visit Sanur beach, you can reach it from some entry roads (or jalan in Indonesia) such as; Jalan Matahari Terbit, Jalan Hang Tuah, Jalan Segara Ayu, Jalan Pantai Sindu, Jalan Pantai Karang, Jalan Duyung and Jalan Kusuma Sari.
Jalan Matahari Terbit means Sunrise Road. From this beach, we can see the sunrise clearly. The beach has black sand with ideal wave to surf. Many cafes and restaurants here, so you won't get hungry here. A Tsunami Alarm is also built near the jogging track.
Entering Sanur Beach from Jalan Hang Tuah you will find The Le Mayeur Museum, The Grand Bali Beach Hotel, a Police Station, an art market, and sea transportation post to Nusa Penida Island.
You also can reach the beach from Jalan Segara Ayu or Segara Ayu Road. The beach here has white sand and calm water. If you need a souvenir, may be you can find it at Sanur Beach Market. Canoe and Swim Float are available here for rent. A tourist police office is built here to secure the beach zone with foreign-language speaking personnel.
The Sanur Sindu Beach is just about 300 meter from Segara Ayu Beach. Lot of Restaurants and Hotels here to stay with excellent services. The beach has white sand and also a jogging track. If you like water sport, such as wind surfing and canoe, you will love to visit this beach.
Another lovely beach in Sanur is Karang Beach. You can enter the beach via Jalan Pantai Karang. It is about 1 km from Sanur Sindu Beach to the south. The beach has good vegetation. The Bali Goverment has built wave breaker to control beach erosion as seen on the picture below. The beach is ideal for family recreation.
The Hyatt Sanur Beach is located at about 1 km from Karang Beach to the south. The beach has white sand and some sport facilities such as banana boat, wind surfer, jet ski, and outdoor beach volley ball. You can enter this beach via Jalan Duyung near Bali Hyatt Sanur Hotel.
The last but not least is Sanur Semawang Beach. The beach has large parking area, Italian ice cream restaurant, jogging track, beach chair umbrella and canoe facilites. Each umbrella is equipped with two beach chairs. It cost Rp 20,000 to rent the umbrella. You can also rent a canoe, too. It cost Rp 10,000 for the big canoe and Rp 5,000 for the small one, without time limit during low session. This is also ideal for family recreation. Enter the beach via Jalan Kusuma Sari.
Well, I think Sanur Beach Bali is a nice place to visit.
